Designed to both enhance sexual satisfaction and rebuild or instil confidence (including for post-menopausal or post-partum women), our discrete and highly specialised vulvovaginal rejuvenation treatments are formidably hardworking – restoring tone, plumpness, hydration, elasticity and sensitivity.
“Cosmetic gynaecology is a very emotional area of treatment; it’s often about overcoming self-consciousness and re-building confidence. These treatments are generally less about pure vanity and more about improving how you feel about yourself.”
An innovative treatment area in women’s wellbeing that marries aesthetic aspirations with heightened intimate sensation, we use two specialist products:
Desirial®
Desirial® is a dermal filler composed of unique hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in the body. A triple boon to self-esteem, it’s invaluable for remedying discomfort, amplifying feeling and improving appearance – reviving tone, shape, hydration and what may feel like a long-lost level of sensitivity in the vulvovaginal area.
While the treatment itself isn’t new, very few clinics offer an expertly guided service. Here at TLC, we’re proud to present two versions: Desirial® for the vaginal area, focusing on rehydration, toning and elasticity is predominantly for women who are menopausal or who are dealing with episiotomy scars. Desirial® Plus is used for remodelling the outer labia, which tends to thin and become less responsive to sensation during the ageing process. This also protects the inner lips of the labia minora.
NEWGyn®
NEWGyn® is a bio-revitalising injectable gel that blends the regenerative properties of polynucleotides HPT® (PN-HPT®) – ‘bio-stimulators’ that work like food for cells, promoting cell turnover and improving skin elasticity and hydration – with the ultra-hydrating traits of hyaluronic acid. It also includes antioxidant mannitol to extend the longevity of hydration.
This super-moisturising, ultra-elasticating triple whammy has been designed specifically to counter vaginal atrophy, a condition where the lining of the vagina gets drier and thinner, resulting in symptoms including itching, soreness, burning and pain during sex. It’s also recommended for improving genital mucosae, the nutrient-rich mucus which protects the skin inside the vaginal cavity.
The vulvovaginal area.
While these treatments are applicable to any adult woman seeking to redress waning sexual satisfaction, discomfort or aesthetic concerns (they’re highly regarded for improving genital appearance), they are especially ideal for those experiencing the changes that accompany the menopause or are post-partum and seeking support with improving episiotomy scars.
In both instances, the process can be repeated every six to 12 months; settled results become apparent after roughly two weeks.
Downtime is minimal, it’s possible to return to work afterwards, but patients are advised to avoid sexual intercourse or exercising following treatment for at least a week.
Please note that all treatment responses and recovery times are dependent on the individual patient.
Chemical Peels for Cosmetic Gynaecology for restoring original colour; and Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy (part of our Integrative Health therapies) where blood, saliva and urine testing are combined to create a customised treatment plan aligned to an individual’s precise hormonal needs. This includes supporting women experiencing the menopause or perimenopause.
Desirial Plus may involve the injection of a local anaesthetic (for Desirial, the anaesthetic is topical), but neither treatment is painful.
NEWGyn® is composed of Polynucleotides-HPT® (PN-HPT®), a DNA fragment extracted from ethically bred Italian trout fish using a patented DNA extraction and purification technology, which means it cannot be administered to anyone allergic to fish.
Here are a few final things that you might like to know before taking things forward. If you have any other questions we haven’t thought of yet, no problem! Please email us at hello@thelovelyclinic.co.uk and one of the team will get back to you as quickly as they possibly can.
No. We use a topical anaesthetic inside the vagina, or an injectable anaesthetic on each side of the outer labia, to safeguard against any pain.
The results of the procedure are apparent immediately but it takes around a week for the swelling to subside.
