If you’ve got a big event on the horizon, there’s a multitude of things we can do to help you look your very best, regardless of how much time you’ve got to prepare. These range from glow-inducing facial treatments to, for those with a little more time on their hands, full body sculpting therapies.
How much time have you got?
One week: if the pressure is on, we’d advise a gentle no-peel Chemical Peel for instant beauty-boosting exfoliation, the deep tightening, brightening and lifting of skincare treatment ULTRAcel Q+ ® (great for anywhere on the face and body), the nutrient-mainlining hits of Mesotherapy, or the super skin boosting ClearSilk ® – the lightest touch therapy in the Sciton JOULE ® Light & Laser Technologies range. This close in you’ll be wanting to do treatments which are as minimally invasive as possible such as the LYMA Laser Facial or the Préime DermaFacial, both relaxing treatments which pack a powerful technological punch.
One month: if you have a little more time to play with try the luminosity-inducing influence of Injectable Moisturisers, achieve a beautifully relaxed look via Advanced Muscle-Relaxing Injectables, the skin texture redefining genius of INTRAcel ® with Exosomes or the deeper dive treatments in our Sciton JOULE ® Light & Laser Technologies. Additionally, you should consider Thread Lifting – a superb, less-invasive alternative to the face lift (the mini and medium versions are applicable to the one-month deadline).
Three months: if you’re planning way in advance, you might also want to consider building back some bounce with Dermal Fillers, the multifarious benefits of Carboxytherapy (glowing skin, diminishing fat, stretch marks, dark under-eye circles and cellulite), or the facial contouring of Thread Lifting. Silhouette-streamlining therapies for which you’ll also have enough time in hand include the body shaping/fat reduction therapies CoolSculpting ®, Fat-Dissolving Injectables or ULTRAcel Q+ for body.
For whole-body skin rejuvenation try our Dream Skin Body treatments which feature whole body chemical peels, LED with our hospital-grade Korean device and zapping of any red vessels. If it’s more of a facial focussed treatment you’re looking for, the Super Skin MOT with a little bit of everything is perfect for you. For the best results these treatments should be commenced at least three months prior to any big event to allow for a brief course of treatment before the big event (ideally though you would give yourself six months to allow for six treatments).

While all our treatments are technically non-invasive (you won’t find a surgical scalpel in sight), for anyone who’s uncomfortable with the presence of needles, plenty of our treatments instead employ devices that work via an alternative route.
We have a wealth of gentle skin-serving treatments such as the popular Préime DermaFacial or the LYMA Laser Facial which are low on downtime and big on results. For something more bespoke, take a look at the TLC Super Skin MOT which is individualised to your skin but may combine therapies such as a gentle chemical peel, our hospital-grade Korean LED device with Lumixa for extra potency. You may also find the Fabulous Infusion Facials acceptable as although they utilise needles in the form of Skin Pen Microneedling (best with Exosomes) or Mesotherapy, they are not an “injectable” as such.
Options include our Sciton Joule ® Light & Laser Technologies, which harness thermal energy for either an intensely rejuvenating exfoliation, or to heat the skin from within to promote contraction and spur tightness. We understand just how seriously scarring can knock your confidence, particularly if it’s something you’ve been living with for a long time. Whether the result of an accident or acne, we have a multitude of scar-targeting treatments, able to improve overall skin texture in the process.
Most notable are our Sciton JOULE ® Light & Laser Technologies, which harness thermal energy for an intensely rejuvenating exfoliation. The three key treatments in this set to remedy scarring are the HALO ®, which can help to redress obstinate or deep-seated skin conditions, such as scarring or lesions. The BBL ® HEROic ™, one of the only varieties of light therapy shown in a study to have the potential to rejuvenate, and not just remove ageing skin cells and discolouration (it can even treat red marks), and our gentlest laser therapy, ClearSilk ®, which is suitable for light scarring.
Injectable Moisturisers (which not only hydrate but also stimulate collagen projection, spurring healthier skin) can be dispensed directly into scar tissues. The polynucleotides such as Nucleofill are very good at improving stretch marks.
INTRAcel ® is another great option either with or without Exosomes. It harnesses the combined powers of fractional radiofrequency and micro-needling to redefine skin texture. The exosomes give an additional healing boost.
Cellulite remains one of the most stubborn skincare complaints across the board, but it’s not without remedies.
We highly recommend Carboxytherapy (also known as carbon dioxide therapy) – a zero-chemicals treatment that originated in French spas over a century ago. Suitable for anyone, medical-grade infusions of the natural gas are dispensed into the skin via a slim tube, causing the body to flood the treatment area with oxygenated nutrient-rich blood, stimulating cellular repair and the removal of toxins.
Also, look to Mesotherapy, another treatment pioneered by French physicians (this time in the 1950s), where micro doses of vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants and hyaluronic and amino acids, among other active ingredients, are injected directly into the skin. The result is a superb derma-boost, capable of combatting sluggish circulation, stretch marks and cellulite.
Sunekos Cell, one of our Injectable Moisturisers, also provides an excellent cellulite remedy.
Our hair is often directly in the firing line when it comes to the fallout of a weakened immune system, emotional stress or environmental factors as diverse as city living to excess sun. It’s therefore highly deserving of a cast of dedicated treatments and supporting products.
Other treatments include the nutrient-delivering micro-injections of Mesotherapy, in this case dispensing hyper-nourishing preparations into the scalp to generate lustrous locks and ward off hair loss, and Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP), which harnesses the natural regenerative powers of the body’s own blood to boost healing.
There may be times when you simply need a reset. At TLC, we’re happy to correct previous treatments involving hyaluronic acid. In doing so, we’ll take you back to a place where you look and feel yourself, including readying you for another treatment (should you so wish!).
Similar to removing semi-permanent cosmetics, in our gentle Corrective Procedures (which are usually applicable to dermal fillers and most commonly connected to restoring the natural contours of the lips or eyes), we inject an enzyme to dissolve the original product, returning your facial contours back to a beautiful baseline.
Fuller lips are one of nature’s signs of a healthy body, but the natural process of ageing can diminish hydration and cause smoothness to take a hit.
Additionally, look to Thread Lifts – a superb non-invasive alternative to the face-lift, where the insertion of different lengths of threads subtly sculpt the skin’s contours to create a perkier, crisper but still natural silhouette. This therapy is ideal for remedying the vertical marks sometimes known as ‘smoker’s lines’, and can be a superb replacement for filler (threads form a solid bond, meaning there is no possibility of the movement that can happen when the gel of dermal fillers migrates). Notably, TLC is one of the few clinics which performs this procedure on lips, due to us being one of the few practices that holds the requisite Care Quality Commission (CQC) registration.
